CSI:NY - The Game - Play The Show

 

CSI:NY - The Game is a new show-basedhidden object game developed by Legacy Games and published by Ubisoft/Big Fish Games.

 

The game offers a great opportunity to play several cases with already familiar characters. The graphics  (I mean characters) and sounds (I mean voices) are all borrowed from the tv show.

 

 

You are to solve several cases with several steps in each. 

 

You have 4 cases to solve. When you start each of them you see the intro reminiscent from the show.

 

It introduces the characters as if you are watching the show on tv.

 

Then you are usually introduced to a crime scene where you are to take pictures of the things that may be used later.

 

All the way through the case you interact with different characters. These dialogues are partly interactive.

 

There are highlighted words, for example, in the sentences of a person you talk to, and clicking on those makes your character ask about those things. Otherwise you won't be told about those things.

 

After the investigation of a crime scene you play a number of hidden object games and different mini-games, that usually represent all kinds of analyses.

 

Those may include  piecing together torn paper scraps, tracing an outline of blood with a cotton swab, matching DNA samples and facial reconstruction, swiping fingerprints off evidence, and so forth.

 

The wrappings of the game are just perfect. The graphics are really cool and the sounds and voices are professional and enjoyable.

 

All in all the game is a lot of fun especially if you are or were a fan of the show.
