The Lost Cases of Sherlock HolmesThe Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes - Rich Puzzles Diversity

The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes, developed by Legacy Interactive and published by uclick, is a great puzzle game that does stand out with its content. A short description would be - good content in good package. The game seems to have everything to be ever interesting and addictive.

This game takes you into the Victorian England to be around the famous detective and his assistant (and other well-known characters of the book) while they are investigating all kinds of mysterious cases.

The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes Welcome to the Victorian London where you are to observe and actually participate in work of the master of investigation. Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson let you be the witness of their successful work as they solve the mysteries one by one.

The game covers 16 cases of murder, forgery, espionage, theft etc. 16 cases mean lots of items to find, location to visit (40!), puzzles to solve and criminals to find. The game features not only great seek-and-find levels, but also lots of mini-games in-between.

Every case covers a number of puzzles of different kinds. Solving them one by one you find out who the culprit is.

The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes The way the levels and tasks go in this game reminded me a lot Cate West - The Vanishing Files . It is because the game is divided into themed blocks and every block contains a set of different puzzles. That's a great idea - it helps keep the gamers not bored and interested till the end.

When you start a new case, you are to find the clues that implicate various suspects. You are given two very similar pictures where you have to find the differences. And I should say that in this and other types of tasks the challenge level is quite balanced. Some assignments are easy, some are not at all.

Then you get more evidence in the hidden-object level. You can find bonus items there - Sherlock's pipe and hat. They provide you with an extra hint or a bonus chemistry mini-game. Before you can finish a case you play a Sudoku-style game. You play it by placing all the suspects in the right places according to the descriptions given in the rows and columns.

And the last part of every case is the memory game where you finally find out a culprit. Plus you get additional mini-games from some of the items. These can be memory games, anagrams, cryptograms or jigsaw puzzles.

As for me the game is awesome with everything it offers. The only small annoying thing is the cursor in the form of a magnifier, but it is nothing when compared with all the fun.
