Bejeweled 2 - Matching Colored Gems
A sequel to the legendary Bejeweled game saw the light of a day. With upgraded backgrounds, totally new screensaver mode and new explosive pieces, Bejeweled 2 immediately became even a bigger hit than its sensational predecessor.
The point of the sequel to the classical gem-swapping game remained intact: a player is to remove lines containing 3 or more jewels of identical color.
Swap two adjacent gems in order to make a line containing three or more stones of identical color. Mechanics is the same as in all match-3 games: click a stylus on two gems that are to be swapped and they'll change places.
Horizontally or vertically matched gems are cleared from the board scoring you points and giving space to new jewels.
A match of 4 gems is rewarded with Power gem.
Five gems put in a line make a Hyper cube scoring you even higher scores. Both special jewels trigger their own unique jewel-clearing devices. As one proceeds through levels, other power-ups, such as Time Bombs are added to the game.
Four game modes introduce extra challenge to colored gem-swapping.
Similar to Bejeweled, Bejeweled 2 has four modes. With Classic mode one can enjoy original unlimited gameplay.
Action mode introduces a time-limitation to a normally-paced gem matching and is sure to appeal to quick-thinkers.
Those looking for everlasting fun can relax with Endless mode.
Puzzle mode takes one to explore a galaxy and to solve a handful of matching brain-teasers.
The game features stunning space-inspired graphics and astounding sound effects. The gameplay is smooth and breathtaking at the same time: upon level completion one is offered a cutting-edge space trip full of impressive visual effects.
