Laura Jones and the Gates of
Good and Evil is a new casual adventure game from Nevosoft. The game should be lots
of fun for the fans of such titles as Dream Chronicles and Azada. The game is
full of adventures and mysteries. You play as a graduate who got engaged into
the search of some special gates in order to keep the evil spirits behind the
doors and not to let them out. In other words - you are to save the world, I
guess. There are tons of different puzzles to be a playground for accomplishing
that goal. Each new artefact means that you are to be tested through a
mini-game.
The wave of sequels continues with the second part of a hidden object game that used to be quite popular after release - Hide & Secret 2: Cliffhanger Castle. The game preserves the fascinating game play of the first part while offering some new twists and new puzzles. You will meet the same characters and the story is not less engaging, taking you to lots of locations all over the world in the search of King Arthur's lost armor. The traditional hidden object levels are complemented with a wide variety of puzzle mini-games, and the hidden object game play itself has new features that will make your playing experience significantly richer. The graphics has been improved as compared with the first game, and the whole game is a great example of sequel worthy of the popularity of the original title.
Yard Sale Junkie -
a new hidden-object game developed and published by Sudden Games. The game does have some innovative twists. But
they are not as worked out as they could have been. So I find it hard to say if
the game is all good or all bad. Those are balanced in this game. You are to go
through a number of garage and yard sales to get $30,000 for a boutique in Beverly Hills. The game features such things as customers
telling you what they want and multiple scenes that add uniqueness to the game,
but these features seem to not be worked out very well.
The
Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes,
developed by Legacy Interactive and
published by uclick, is a great
puzzle game. This new release does stand out with its content. This game takes
you into the Victorian England to be around the famous detective and his assistant
(and other well-known characters of the book) while they are investigating the
cases of murder, forgery, espionage, theft etc. The game is also full of
different puzzle mini-games in between the seek-and-find levels. The graphics
and the audio are really good and add pleasure to the whole process of
investigation. One of the strong points of the game is the diversity of the
tasks. It helps a lot not to get bored but to get even more interested and
addicted to the cases you are to solve.
Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Persian Carpet

One thing you will never experience is boredom, for the game is a real brain-teaser.
