Black Hummer Productions have developed and PlayFirst have
published a new sequel of a hidden-object and puzzle game - Nightshift
Legacy: The Jaguar's Eye. The sequel may bring out thoughts and
emotions different form those from the first one, but it is still worth our attention anyways. We meet the same characters from the first game - Mike and Isabel. And
again they are found in the process of search, dangerous search. The game offers 6 chapters in total with several different levels each. So this is what Nightshift Legacy: The Jaguar's Eye offers us: intriguing story, challenging tasks and nice audio-visuals.
This game, Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall, developed by Gameshastra and published by Big Fish Games,
has its pros and cons (just like most of the casual games), but it
definitely will be a unique experience considering the main theme. Imagine one day your life changes in a dramatic way with no option to get back. This is what has
happened with our main character, Claire. We meet her
lying on the stairs after being attacked by a creature. What had happened?.. And what changes has it it brought about?..The
overall look of the game matches the theme very well.
The
game offers mostly hidden object levels with several mini-games in
between.
And again we were lucky to be introduced to another high-polished hidden-object game - Alabama Smith: Escape from Pompeii. This puzzle game from Alawar Entertainment gets on a journey in search of a ancient amulet. What's really unusual is that you don't get a list of things to find, then a puzzle game, then all over again.
There are mini-games, but they usually go as a part of your search of the location or a means to accomplish one of the tasks.
Welcome to the land of GourMania, where you will use both your hidden
object and time-management skills and learn the recipes of numerous
dishes from several world cuisines. Youwill build your restaurant empire and choose which place to work in. The game play in most aspects resembles that of the Go-Go Gourmet series. The cooking itself doesn't require actually using tools for processing
food, you just assign tasks for the tools and order the processes. On the whole tha game gives you quite a freedom in your decisions. And the visuals are present and attractive. Are you ready to start your restaurant business?
The shower of sequels to hit games continues, this time with the second part of the addictive quest about the adventurous guy Mortimer Beckett and his uncle Jerome. The game offers all the features of the original one which were so attractive for players, and even more puzzle fun. Though in the first part Mortimer freed his uncle Jerome's manor from ghosts, they managed to open a Time Portal. And if a Time Portal is open, it always means Big Trouble! The game play is a really engaging combination of hidden object and quest in eight time zones. And the visuals and sounds are beyond any praise. You are welcome to enjoy!
