Mahjong is a board game of Chinese origin. Traditionally it is played by four players either with a set of tiles or a set of Mahjong playing cards. The object of the game is to build complete suits from either 13 or 16 tiles. There are many variants of Mahjong each with its different rules. These days Mahjong has become a popular computer game. In this connection a special attention should be given to a two-player tile matching game called Mahjong Solitaire. The aim of the game is to clear the grid by pairing up 144 tiles. The game is finished when all tiles are removed from the playing field.
